Junior Development Programs
We can provide a junior development program for an indiviual, a club or even an association at state or distrcit level.
Individual Development Programs
We have identified several areas that are critical to understand and target in order for you to achieve your golfing goals. The first step is to analyse the responses you provide in our questionaire. We can then start to customise a development program to suit your specific needs.
Our individual programs include:
- Just learning golf
- Playing on a golf course
- Getting a handicap
- Playing Encourage Shield
- Playing Pennants
- Playing junior 9 and 18 hole tournaments
- Playing events that get you recognition
- Helping you decide what you want from golf
Coaching at a Distance
Thankfully we're in the technological age and if you don't live in the Canberra region we can assess your golf swing online, give you a practice routine and recommend the correct tournaments to play in. We're currently setting up our online coaching for interstate and overseas students. Online coaching will cost $30 and is only available for juniors. Those who are interested need to get in touch with us to organise this process.
Canberra and Region Coaching
We have many junior programs to get you started and for a weekly cost of $30 you can attend any of these after school programs on:
- Monday clinic at Fairbairn Golf Course 4-5pm normally $10 per session
- Tuesday clinic at Southern Cross Pitch and Putt 4-5pm normally $12 per session
- Wednesday clinic at Braidwood after school program 3.15-5pm normally $10 per session
- Thursday clinic at Fairbairn Golf Course 4-5pm normally $10 per session
- Friday clinic at Fairbairn Golf Course 4-5pm normally $10 per session
- Saturday clinic at Fairbairn Golf Course 4-5pm normally $10 per session
Also included in the $30 cost is:
School holiday programs that run Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) of the Spring, Autumn and Summer School Holidays.
Time: 8.30am-5.00pm daily
Cost: $60 per day or $265 per week
We run 8 weeks of school holiday programs at $265 per week. All up cost of these programs if you were to attend them all would be nearly $4000 and you can get them for $30 per week. If you're signed up to the $30 per week fee, it will cost an extra $5 per day for lunch and snacks at the school holiday program. The school holiday programs provide group lessons, on course play and friendships with other golfing kids. Individual lessons are not possible during the school holiday program.
Our after school clinics include group lessons, individual lessons and individual self practice. The general format is 30 minute clinic lesson with individual practice for 30 minutes. When the kids are at the level where they can play unsupervised, they will be able to spend an extra hour at the golf course for practice after the clinic. Leigh will let parents and kids know when they're at this level.
